Acrosser is shipping a lower power, fanless embedded system targeting POS (point-of-sales/service), kiosk, environmental monitoring, ticketing, medical, and automotive applications. The AR-ES0631 comprises an EPIC form-factor, x86-compatible Geode-powered SBC (single-board computer) housed in a rugged, lightweight, dust-proof aluminum chassis.

The AR-ES0631 system appears to be based on Acrosser's AR-B1631, an EPIC form-factor SBC powered by an AMD Geode [email protected] processor clocked at 500MHz. The AR-B1631 also uses AMD's CS5535 companion chip, described in detail here.

The AR-ES0631 appears to be available now. Available customization services include: company logo, front and rear I/O panels, colors, dimensions, and “different hardware and operating system configurations,” Acrosser says.
