Aug 21, 2006 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — 1 viewsMPL AG has added a new model to its line of “Packaged Industrial PCs” (PIP). The PIP9 is based on a 1 GHz Celeron M processor, and boasts an extensive set of “PC compatible” functions in a compact, industrial-strength package, according to the Switzerland-based company.
The PIP9 is based on a low-power 1 GHz Celeron processor with 512 MB of soldered-on ECC DDR333 RAM. A 200-pin SODIMM socket accommodates up to an additional 1 GB of RAM, and a PC/104-Plus module location facilitates in-the-box expansion. For the purposes of industrial expansion, the system provides a CAN-compatible field-bus interface. 48 volt input is available as an option.
