Research Triangle Park, NC — (press release excerpt) — Red Hat, Inc. announced today the availability of its GNUPro embedded toolset and related services for the Intel IQ80310 Development Kit, the evaluation board for the Intel IOP310 I/O processor chipset. Embedded developers can now take advantage of the popular Red Hat GNUPro tools in conjunction with the Intel IQ80310 Evaluation Platform.

Included with the Intel kit is the complete version of GNUPro for a Linux host, as well as installation and “getting started” support. A registration card included in the package activates support. Annual subscription services and annual support services are also available for purchase.

The Intel IOP310 I/O processor chipset, which is based on the Intel XScale microarchitecture, triples the processing capabilities of the advanced Internet storage systems and Internet infrastructure required of next-generation e-Business, database, and other Internet applications.
