Housed in a black aluminum case measuring 10.5 x 7.5 x 3.75 inches, the SC240 comes with a choice of processors that include a 1.2GHz VIA C7, a 1.6GHz Intel Pentium M, and a 1.6 or 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. Whichever CPU is chosen, no chassis or CPU fans are required, ICI claims.
In addition to a heat sink, the case includes a flexible, sealable door that protects I/O cables and ports, according to the company. Mounting options include top or bottom adjustable brackets.
ICI says the SC240M accepts 12 or 24VDC power input from its standard AC adapter. Optionally available is an integrated 6-24 VDC vehicle power supply, said to protect a host vehicle from deep battery discharge, while protecting the PC from power fluctuations during engine cranking.
In terms of I/O, the SC240 provides the functionality that would be expected of a standard desktop PC, including serial, USB, keyboard/mouse, LAN, and video output. Optional upgrades include additional serial ports, S-Video TV output, 1394 Firewire, and an integrated DC terminal block.
