Two Euro embedded and real-time Linux workshops

The Netherlands workshop takes place during the Applied Computing Developers' Conference, on November 7 and 8 in Maastricht (Netherlands). The workshop in Milan (Italy) is being held on November 13 and 14.
Workshop overview:
The Embedded Linux Workshop will present architecture, features, details and solutions you need to finish your Embedded Linux project. This workshop walks the participants through the steps involved in customizing a Linux environment to support an embedded application. The workshop focuses on software that is available on the Internet free of charge.

- The Linux boot sequence
- Making Linux fit in a small amount of memory
- Creating a system image
- Building a complete root file system
- Working with device drivers
- Working with small libraries
- Using small utilities such as Busybox and the GoAhead web server
- Running small audio applications
- Using a webserver as user interface
- Performance issues
About the workshop presenter:
This workshop is developed and presented by Kevin Dankwardt, founder and President of K Computing (www.kcomputing.com), a Silicon Valley training and consulting firm. He has spent most of the last 9 years designing, developing, and delivering technical training for such subjects as Unix system programming, Linux device drivers, real-time programming, and parallel programming for various organizations world-wide. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science, in 1988.
