64-bit MIPS specialist offers embedded Linux webinar

A semiconductor supplier specializing in broadband and storage systems will hold a Webinar on embedded Linux next week. PMC-Sierra support lead for 64-bit cores Adam Kiepul will present the webinar, which targets design, system, hardware, and integration engineers.

According to PMC-Sierra, the event will “identify key components and qualities to help you design the Linux system for your unique embedded application.” Topics include:

Two weeks ago, market research firm InStat/MDR projected rapid growth for 64-bit embedded processors, a segment in which the only currently shipping chips are based on MIPS64.

A number of companies offer webinars on embedded Linux, including TimeSys, Wind River, and others. Previously, PMC-Sierra has offered webinars on the MIPS architecture.
