Atom-based SBC offers four gigabit ports
Mar 11, 2011 — by Eric Brown — from the LinuxDevices Archive — 12 viewsIEI announced a 5.25-inch single board computer (SBC) equipped with Intel Atom D425 or D525 processors. The Nova-PV-D4251/D5251 offers up to 4GB of DDR3 memory and CompactFlash storage, expansion via PCI, PCI-104 and PCIe expansion, plus I/O including two or four Ethernet ports and eight USB 2.0 ports, says the company.
The Nova-PV–D4251/D5251 offers a very similar feature set to IEI's recently announced KINO-PV-D4252/D5252 SBC. Instead of a square, 6.7 x 6.7-inch Mini-ITX format, however, the Nova-PV uses the "5.25-inch" form-factor, which actually measures 8.0 x 5.75 inches. It also offers twice the number of gigabit Ethernet ports, as well as an extra PCI Express (PCIe) slot, and adds an IDE interface and an optional TPM module.
