Sunnyvale, CA — (press release excerpt) — Cahners MicroDesign Resources (MDR) announced today that it is accepting presentation proposals for the 14th annual Microprocessor Forum, to be held October 15-19, 2001, at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose, CA. The deadline for proposals is June 18, 2001.

Microprocessor Forum is the largest, most important technical conference in the microprocessor industry. Attendees will include professionals from computer and embedded application OEMs, component suppliers, semiconductor firms, and the financial community. Press credentials will be issued for over 150 journalists from media outlets ranging from the Wall Street Journal to CNN.

The Microprocessor Forum program includes presentations from MDR's team of analysts and by companies making announcements of new high-performance microprocessor technologies. Company presentations must include significant technical detail and include new information not previously disclosed. Microprocessors disclosed in detail for the first time will be given preference. Areas of interest include processors for PCs, processors for workstations and servers, embedded processors, DSPs, and programmable multimedia processors.
