Intel adds four new mobile Pentiums
Apr 7, 2004 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — viewsIntel announced four new mobile Pentium processor variants today. The latest Pentium M and Celeron M processors range from 900 MHz to 1.4 GHz clock speeds with power consumptions from 7 to 24.5 Watts, and are based on Intel's 0.13-micron manufacturing technology (see table, below).
Pentium M, in conjunction with Intel's 855 chipsets and PRO/Wireless networking silicon, is a key component of Intel's “Centrino” branded silicon for mobile applications.
Processor | Speed | L2 Cache | Power (TDP) |
Voltage | Price (10K) |
Low Voltage Pentium M | 1.30 GHz | 1 MB | 12W | 1.180 | $284 |
Ultra Low Voltage Pentium M | 1.10 GHz | 1 MB | 7W | 1.004 | $262 |
Celeron M | 1.40 GHz | 512 KB | 24.5W | 1.356 | $134 |
Ultra Low Voltage Celeron M | 900 MHz | 512 KB | 7W | 1.004 | $161 |
Note: “TDP” stands for “thermal design power”
