Zotac announced a Mini-ITX motherboard that features Blu-Ray support and is aimed at gaming and home theater PC applications. Featuring AMD Llano A8, A6, A4, and E2 series processors up to 2.8GHz, the A75-ITX WiFi can be stocked with up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, and offers Wi-Fi antennas, dual gigabit Ethernet ports, plus both HDMI and DVI ports.

The A75-ITX WiFi is considerably more powerful than earlier Zotac Mini-ITX motherboards, such as the Intel Atom 330-based Ion ITX-F announced in late 2009. In large part this is due to its support for the new AMD A-Series Llano A8, A6, and A4 processors that launched in June.

Zotac's 6.7 x 6.7-inch Mini-ITX board is designed for hobbyists and systems integrators looking to build gaming and home theater-oriented mini-PCs. It supports existing desktop-oriented versions of the Llano CPUs, with TDPs of 65 Watts or 100 Watts, as well as the E2-3250 (which has yet to be formally announced, and is expected to ship in the third quarter).

Dual memory slots can be loaded with up to 8GB of DDR3 memory, which can reach speeds up to 1866MHz with the A8 processors, says Zotac. A PCI Express (PCIe) x16 slot is available for expansion, while a mini-PCIe slot is said to be devoted to the included 802.11n Wi-Fi module, which is supported by dual antennas. Bluetooth 3.0 is also said to be available.

On the coastline (above), the A75-ITX WiFi features dual gigabit Ethernet ports, and six of the available eight USB 3.0 ports, says Zotac. Internally, there are two more USB 2.0 ports and a serial port available via headers, says the company. Four 6Gbps SATA ports are also supplied internally.

Other coastline ports include HDMI and DVI ports, with an adapter supplied for the latter to support VGA. A PS/2 port and audio ports including S/PDIF are also externally available.
