Rugged mini-PC uses Core 2 Duo processor
May 23, 2007 — by LinuxDevices Staff — from the LinuxDevices Archive — 8 viewsStealth Computer is shipping a compact, rugged, PC-compatible system that supports Linux and other standard x86 OSes on a Core 2 Duo processor. The LPC-450 provides up to five times the performance of its predecessor, the LPC-401FS, in the same… palm-sized extruded aluminum chassis, according to the company.
The LPC-450 supports the full range of Intel Core 2 Duo processors with either 512 MB or 1 GB of RAM. A 2.5-inch high-shock SATA hard drive offers storage capacities from 80 to 160 GB. For additional shock and vibration resistance, the hard drive can be replaced by an IDE flash disk. A slim 24X CD-ROM is another standard feature, while DVD-ROM, DVD/DVDRW, and CD-RW drives are available as options.
