Graphical GNU toolsuite reinstates SuperH, adds NEC V85x

Visual GNU X-Tools now once more supports Renesas SuperH chips and adds support for NEC V85x chips.
Visual GNU X-Tools are based on Slickedit's Visual Slickedit, an IDE that also forms the basis of a real-time Linux suite from FSMLabs and a JTAG debugger from American Arium. Microcross's X-Tools are sold by architecture, and are also available for ARM, MIPS32, PowerPC, and XScale processors, and for the RTEMS open source embedded operating system.
Microcross launched the first stable release of Visual GNU X-tools in January of 2003, and first supported Renesas SH1, SH2, SH3, and SH4 architectures — collectively known as SuperH — in March of 2003. Microcross says it has updated Visual X-Tools four times in three years.
The Microcross tool suite includes the Slickedit code editor, project manager, and librarian, as well as an ISS (instruction set simulator) for the appropriate architecture. The suite also includes stable releases of core GNU tools that Microcross modifies and debugs, it says. Each suite includes the appropriate GCC C/C++compiler, LD linker, AR archiver, AS assembler, binary utilities, and Visual GDB debugger.
Availability
Visual GNU X-Tools costs $999 per seat, including free setup support, with optional engineering technical support available for $1,000 per project for the first year, including phone and email support, training guide, free upgrades, and community Website access. A 30 day evaluation of the tools is also available.
